Eva reached the nearest train station.

She dared not to take a plane, because the tickets were too expensive for her.

She only needed to take the train that stops at San Francisco. Then Charles surely would know with his telepathic abilities. Then they would come and take her to Genosha.

There was a common rumor, that Genosha, the free country for mutants, was just an island with some shacks on it. They were wrong. Genosha wasn’t like 30 years ago. 

Now, it was an island full of skyscrapers, cars, streets, offices, and bustling mutants. Erik told the people at the school they could come any time. Genosha welcomed all of them.

She looked out of the window. They were in the countryside, and she could only see trees, rows of trees, like sentinels watching her. She had a curious feeling that she was being watched - that the train was in a glass case in a museum, being watched by children who would rack the glass case, and bring her tragedy.

She straightened her coat.

She promised to herself she would not marry, would not give birth to children. It made her alone in a school of couples.

One night, when she lay awake in the night, she felt more alone than ever, with the cold silver moonlight draping on her. She reached down with her fingers. She found a sweet spot, just between her thighs, and lingered there.

Jubilee suddenly woke up. She was watching her all the time! She huddled close to Eva, and slipped her own hands between her thighs.

She screamed. After her “work”, Jubilee climbed back into her own bed, and slept like nothing ever happened. It made her feel guilty. When had she fallen to this extent? To be masturbated with Jubilee’s help? She was half in hell, Eva reflected.

The train continued to churn, and the people continued to type on their phones and laptops, but to Eva, they were far away. She was lost in her own world.
